  • Sease, the new brand by Franco and Giacomo Loro Piana, relaunches the use of an ancient wool made from sopravissana sheep, an almost extinct breed found exclusively on the Sibillini mountains, a part of the Marche region that is trying to bounce back from the devastating earthquakes of 2016.
  • The Quattro Portoni farm and cheese factory, located in Cologno al Serio, 15 km outside of Bergamo, is a true family company in every sense of the term. In fact, representing it at the Fancy Food Show, one of the world’s most important food fairs held each year in New York’s Javits Center, is Bruno Gritti, founder and owner along with his brother Alfio, along with his wife and two young daughters. And one of them, Roberta, is the one who tells us, with great confidence and passion, about their story and of course their future. “The bufale weren’t very well-known in the North of the country, they are tendentially typical of Southern Italy”...a great bet for them, which they won.

  • Via the High Line
    The Exhibition ‘Borders: A Flash of New Italian Fashion’ offers a glimpse into the exciting and perhaps unexpected world of young, contemporary Italian fashion, featuring pieces by 4 emerging designers presented amongst videos, DJ sets, and neon lights and set atop of New York’s High Line against the backdrop of the Hudson River.

    The second edition of Italian Design Day is from March 1 through March 8 focusing on the relationship between design and sustainability. Held at the Italian Cultural Institute in Los Angeles, there will be presentations, the opening of an art exhibit, an inciteful panel discussion, and an award ceremony to celebrate the event. Special guests include, architect and artist Massimo Catalani, the ambassador of the 2018 Design Day, and artists Andrea Capellino and Valerio Berruti.

    Lineapelle’s two-day event showcased exclusive international producers of leather, and textiles for shoes, handbags, and other goods. Among the luxurious craftsmanship was a free aperitivo sponsored by various Italian brands: Abaton, Edesia, Fratelli Beretta, Gioiella, Il Chinotto nella rete, NENA Group, Panzerotti, Ribalta Mo’, San Benedetto Acqua Minerale, and Urbani Truffles.
