Italian wine meets Italian food in the new partnership between leading Italian food company Colavita and wine industry veteran Nunzio Castaldo for joint ownership of Italian wine importer Panebianco LLC.

NIAF’s annual spring gala was held at Cipriani 42nd Street this year celebrating the success of Italians and Italian Americans alike. Honorees include: Giovanni Colavita, Vincent Tizzio, Joseph Fichera, and Ron Lo Russo.
On March 9th at Hudson Studios, the Community of Unity nonprofit organization held their 15th Annual Song Celebration and Fundraiser which honored Marisa and Giovanni Colavita for their incredible support.
Prize trip to America for the employees of the Italian company that was established in 1938 by the Colavita family in the small region of Molise. Forty years later Colavita found in the US a commercial partner and together they affirmed their presence all over the world. As a big family. We visited them at the Colavita plant in Linden, NJ.

Three generations of the Colavita family celebrated the company's 75th anniversary at Caterina de' Medici restaurant, located in the Colavita Center For Italian Food and Wine on campus at the Culinary Institute of America (CIA). They were the first to bring Italian extra virgin olive oil on the American tables and now they are launching a wine line.

In the U.S., the CEO is the young Giovanni Colavita who proudly led us through the new facility. The ribbon cutting ceremony was attended by the mayor of Edison along with representatives of the consular institutions of New York and New Jersey.
