Juventus coach Antonio Conte will face a sporting trial for match-fixing after an attempt to reach a plea bargain broke down on Thursday when the soccer federation's prosecutor demanded he be banned for 15 months.

Tom Cruise is allegedly in talks to purchase George Clooney's stunning Italian holiday home in a desperate bid to find peace following his very public divorce from Katie Holmes. The Sun newspaper reports that the Top Gun actor is meeting up with Clooney in order to "strike a deal" on the property.

And for reasons that are potentially as controversial as the judgment itself.

The kidnapper of an Italian embassy guard in Yemen is asking for ransom and demanding that his name be removed from a government blacklist. The Interior Ministry on Tuesday identified the kidnapper as Ali Nasser Jredan from al-Jalal tribe who was detained in January on charges of killing several soldiers in Marib province.
