Frank Lentricchia, [2] is a one of the country’s leading literary critics as well as a professor, novelist, and film teacher. He has been called “the Dirty Harry of literary criticism.” A chaired professor of literature at Duke University, he is the author of several highly acclaimed and often controversial critical studies. His novels include Johnny Critelli, The Knifemen and The Accidental Pallbearer; and a memoir, The Edge of Night. His latest book, The Dog Killer of Utica, [3] belongs to the Eliot Conte Mystery series.
Roberto Ragone [4], [4] is an entrepreneur and arts and culture advocate with 25 years’ experience. For IAWA, Ragone will perform a dramatization of a speech from Congressman Vito Marcantonio, the seven-time elected Congressman who hailed from East Harlem, once the largest Italian community in the country.
